IPS Scotland is a Scottish Government funded programme that aims to provide help and expertise for individuals and businesses who want to protect their ideas, products, brands and develop innovative businesses and products, taking them to the market, quickly and professionally.

Innovation Protection Support (IPS) Scotland is a Scottish Government programme that provides a free, impartial and confidential service to individual inventors, innovators and businesses on the protection, development and commercial exploitation of innovative ideas and inventions, originating in Scotland. It is an advisory service and does not have funds to distribute to assist with costs such as patenting or prototyping.IPS Scotland is an interim replacement service put in place by the Scottish Government following the closure of the ICASS service.
